Description
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 UPDATE: I guess I forgot to mention the things that I have done to it. I have put in a new water pump, spark plugs & it got 4 new tires.Hello, I am selling my 1969 Ford Bronco. I purchased this bronco last summer in hopes of restoring it to its original form. Unfortunately due to lay-off and the news that we are expecting another addition to the family I have been forced to sell it. And trust me I did not want to sell it. It is truly a Gem. This is my First Classic Bronco I have owned, and will not be my last. I have always wanted one since I can remember. Anyways, about the car!!! -         Full Cab (Utility Style) The utility style full cab was different than the regular full cab. The utility style offered a full bench seat in the front and no seat in the rear and adding a metal partition right behind the seat to create a “bed”. More rare and desirable among collectors and another option this offers is that with a couple holes drilled into the partition you could make this bronco become a half-cab as well!!! A really neat feature that drew me to this bronco, because I was strongly considering getting a half cab. -         170 cu in (2.8 L) Straight six      At first I was a little disappointed because it didn't have the V8, but the 6 is a strong engine and seems to be a good fit for this type of vehicle, it is more than capable to get the job done,  it has the torque, and enough power. -         3 speed manual transmission      3 on the tree, classic -         92,975 Original milesAbout 2 years ago I set out to by a Bronco that I would be able to restore back to its original factory condition. A couple of things were a concern for me, first how original was the bronco, many broncos I have found have been modified in some way, mainly the cutting of the rear fender wells. I have found that this bronco more than enough met my needs as far as originality goes.  Not only have the rear fenders never been touched, the bronco throughout has mainly been kept to its original condition as well. That got me really exited.Second the overall condition of the vehicle itself. This is always a concern for any car buyer, but for a classic car buyer there are some areas that you have to pay more attention to. First the body, this body for all practical purposes is in excellent shape, as far as rust it has rust, but as far as scratches and dents. I closely examined this bronco after I bought it and I was only able to come up with 1 dent, on the passenger side in the back below the reflector and just in front of the tailgate seam, is a small dent. So small that you would never notice it by just glancing. You can barely see it in the pictures but I can kinda tell. As far as rust we have rust in the typical places, rocker panels, floor pans, and the tail gate (which I found odd). Rust is typical in a vehicle that is 40 years old and that has never been restored. What drew me to this bronco was the fact that the rust was very manageable and the fact that the passenger rocker panel is still good!!! That made me very happy. But overall the condition of  the bronco was very pleasing, and was another reason why I have decided to purchase this bronco knowing that the work need to be done on the body was very manageable, even for a guy that has as little tools as me. :-) Third was the fact that everything worked!!! This is a very good indicator of how a car was treated, new or old. And the fact that this vehicle was 40 years old and everything still worked was amazing. I mean everything from the 4 wheel drive done to the door locks. The doors still lock and remain locked with the key! I couldn't believe it! Windshield wipers work fine, you get 2 speeds and I believe they are electric, not vacuum. Everything works, its great. The only thing that does not work that well is the horn… kinda quiet hehe :) Finally the other thing that I needed was a mechanically sound Bronco, since I am not the greatest mechanic, but this bronco needed hardly nothing mechanically. The gentleman I purchased it from kept saying it ran like new… but he was right. It runs smooth and quiet. 2 issues though: 1. I was going to replace the master cylinder and its lines (the brake lines that come out of the master cylinder) and I have yet to do that so the bronco as of right now has NO BRAKES! But to ease your mind this is a cheap repair, $50 bucks and you got your lines and just a weekend afternoon and the job is done. (The master cylinder does not need to be replaced but I thought I would do it anyway) We can discuss after the auction if you want me to finish installing those lines. As of right now I cannot afford to buy the lines. Second, where the exhaust manifold connects to the single pipe the rubber doughnut has worn out, cracked. The bronco runs fine without it, but with it the bronco would run even smoother!!! Which I cannot believe because this bronco is already so smooth… hehe :-) But again the rubber doughnut is a cheap, it would just take some time to separate the pipe and put the doughnut in. Again another cheap fix.   That pretty much sums up the Bronco itself, I am trying to get some video of the bronco on you tube of it running, I have misplaced my battery charger for my camcorder. But again this is a really unique Bronco and I don't really know if I would be able to come across another one like it, seriously!   I am going to add more photos of the bronco too… And I will update the auction if I can think of anything else.   The bronco is located in the panhandle of Nebraska about 5 hours outside of Denver, and an hour and a half south of Rapid City, South Dakota.   Let me know if you have any other questions, my email is:   ersw@live.com       Thank You,   Eric  On Nov-22-08 at 13:47:20 PST, seller added the following information:UPDATE: I have made the video and put it on my computer but the audio did not transfer. I guess I need a "firewire". USB cannot transfer audio. So until I get a firewire just sit tight. I am trying to be as open as I possibly can be about the bronco, I want the winnging bidder to be happy with their purchase. Also I think it is important to note that I am the 3rd owner of the bronco, the gentleman that owned it before me had it for about 22 years and the gentleman before that owned it for 17 years. On Nov-27-08 at 11:34:55 PST, seller added the following information:UPDATE: For some reason part of my original description got messed up, looks like an ebay glitch. Anyways nothing missing just some jumble of letters and symbols. Anyways, the video is up on youtube, what a nightmare... didn't realize that it would take the better part of my morning to get it posted!!! I had to break up the video into to parts, i guess you tube won't let you post a vid that is more than 10 min. long ... which i found odd. Owell, here are the links. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzBvf4UtmHg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emlqkmVBnD8   - Youtube is saying its still processing, but I hope the link works, otherwise search 1969 ford bronco.
