Description
You are bidding on a Modified 1998 Dodge Durango SLT 4x4. I purchased this truck as a fun project about a year ago. The current economy has effected my cash flow as it has many others, which means I regretfully have to sell off some of my "I always wanted to build that" projects. I can't chance loosing the cars I have owned since my teenage years, so someone in a better situation should be really happy to own and finish what I started. This truck is in over all great shape for it’s age and the miles. The Deep Amethyst metallic still shines like new! The only paint work ever done to the truck has been the aftermarket cold air hood, and the new replacement tailgate. The fully loaded Premium leather/suede interior is in great shape! There is only minor wear on the drivers bolster, the rest of the interior is very good. This thing still smells like Leather! The vehicle was in one very minor accident about 5 years ago. A small car ran into the rear and cracked the rear bumper cover and dented the rear tailgate. I have since replaced the rear tailgate with a new one and had it professionally painted to match. The rear lift-gate does need to have the out-side handle replaced. (Old one broke a tab on the inside-I plastic welded it – it held about 3 months!) I am the third owner of this truck and really hate to see it go, but I don't have the money to finish the project and give the vehicle the TLC it needs and deserves. I have made many improvements to the truck in the short time I have owned it Here is a list of modifications and repairs; - Mopar Performance 320HP crate engine (using factory fuel injection and computer) - Mopar Performance R/T Iron heads fully ported, polished and bench flowed - M1 Mopar Performance intake manifold (AWSOME!!!) - Aluminum 1.6 Roller Rockers - Mopar Performance aluminum valve covers - Dual electric fans - Stainless ½†flange large tube ram horn headers - 2.5†collectors into 3†high flow cat into 2 chamber 40 series Flowmaster muffler with 2.5 dual out to factory exit in rear bumper cover (Sounds like NO other!) - ARE fiberglass “Fresh Air†AAR style hood - Aftermarket fiberglass grill shell - Custom made Billet hood scoop, grill, and lower fascia inserts - AutoMeter Air Fuel meter (on pillar) - AutoMeter Fuel pressure meter (on pillar) - Lowered 3†all around (Blocks rear – Torsion bar front) - 17†Dakota/Durango R/T wheels and newer(80%) 295/45/17†Z rated tires (5 all together including matching spare) - Re-built rear differential (from ring & pinion to brakes) - New brakes front and rear - Driver and passenger upper and lower ball joints - New water pump/thermostat - Replaced steering gear box and pitman arm (need's idler arm replaced) - Added Pioneer CD/mp3 (input) player, component speakers in front and 5.25†in rear The Body has almost 210K miles, the motor has around 70K or so on it. This truck was an experiment a friend of mine was conducting – Build your own SRT Durango before STR was around! It won’t take a lot to get this truck up to the show/race potential the truck possesses. I also have the Mopar performance after-market computer and a Mopar Performance 4bbl Throttle Body, they will be for sale to the winning bidder at extra cost. these parts make a day and night difference in all out performance! - Full manual shifts (at will) - More fuel flow - No governor (Scary top end!) - Premium pump gas/race fuel ONLY!!! (the reason for removing the computer) - 1000 cfm 4 BBL billet Throttle Body The truck does have some rust issues starting around the gas cap, and some scaly rust starting under the rockers. The rest of the truck seems to be solid. (Frame and floors are good) The front bumper does have a small amount of rust starting on the passenger side. The biggest issue with the vehicle is the transmission. If you know these Dodge transmissions, you know they are not the strongest. This one shifts fine and works well under normal driving conditions, it doses slip from 1st into 2nd under hard acceleration. This transmission does have over 200k miles on it! it should be rebuilt to keep up with the performance of the motor. if you drove the truck normal conditions and maintained it as it has been in the past, it could go many more years without rebuilding. Please ask any and all questions before placing a bid!!! I require a $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit within 7 days of auction end. I will not reveal my reserve price as I have the vehicle listed "best offer" locally. A $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT VIA PAY PAL IS REQUIRED AT THE END OF THE AUCTION!!! Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping arrangements and/or charges!!! Delivery can be arranged for a fee!!! (Depending on milage) No 0 rating bidders without discussing it with me first!!! This vehicle is being sold as is with no warranty implied or otherwise!!! I reserve the right to end this auction early as the vehicle is being sold locally. Good luck and Happy Bidding! On Nov-21-08 at 14:24:47 PST, seller added the following information:the aftermarket cold air hood will need to be repainted at some point as the clear-coat is starting to peel. You cannot tell until you get up close to the hood.
